Eleven international renowned scientists will speak and present many new and important discoveries and theories pertaining to the Mysteries of the World. Simultaneous translation in German/English or English/German! On Saturday, 10 and Sunday 11 May, 2008, the World Mysteries Forum will take place at the MUSICAL THEATER Basel.
Due to other events held at the Congress Center on the Whitsunday weekend, the WMF exclusively will take place at the MUSICAL THEATER in Basel (Feldbergstrasse 151). This fantastic location offers enough space for the WMF and all its side activities (poster session, bookstore etc.)
"World Mysteries Forum" means controverse discussions and encounters concerning the great mysteries of this world. Experts will face the public and revolutionary discoveries come under scrutiny. The focus will be on questions, answers, communication and interaction. A stimulating event treading new paths. All topics will be presented and discussed in such a way as to be understandable to the layman. Research and exploration mean pure excitement and science combined – and the resulting questions and mysteries are a source of fascination to everyone!
The "World Mysteries Forum" presents a cross-section of amazing discoveries, finds and hypotheses, each in a similarly interdisciplinary manner. These mysteries must be presented as verifiable facts, the interpretation of which cannot be revoked - evidence not mere faith! The value and significance of the topics should be far-reaching in terms of research and exploration, our knowledge horizons and the future. Topics in this category, which challenge the spirit of the age, will be put to discussion.

Due to administrative reasons the online booking is available only until 15 April 2008 (by invoice) - and 5 May 2008 by credit card. Alumnus speakers will participate at the "World Mysteries Forum" 2008!
The WMF organisation is proud to welcome some of the former speakers as special guests to the 2008 WMF. Among others Zen Buddhist master Ryofu Pussel, space travel expert Dr. Bruno Stanek, author Luc Bürgin or social scientist and ETI-contact specialist Dr. Michael Schetsche will join the meeting. Of course also Erich von Däniken will be there and will participate in the panel discussions. Speakers and former speakers of the WMF are easy to identify for WMF participants by their colored badges. All participants can get into contact with the prominent scientists to ask questions. Communication is an important part of the WMF.
Young people and students at the WMF
Many young people and students are visiting the World Mysteries Forum. On 10 May 2008, Alexandra Baer, a Swiss student, is organising an evening dinner for young WMF visitors only. Speakers of the WMF will be invited to participate for a discussion round during the dinner. If you are interested to join, please send an eMail to Alexandra Baer: next.generation@aas-fg.org. Possibly some students will also have the opportunity for a brief lecture at the WMF!
Meet each other at the "World Mysteries Forum" MEETINGPOINT!
The WMF intends to support a dialogue to promote freedom of thoughts and tolerance of other opinions. New at the WMF 2008 there will be a meeting point area in addition to the blackboard, which shall help interested participants to find and contact like-minded people. During the event we will announce several times where and when you can meet other WMF participants, who would like to exchange their opinions, impressions, theories – or just like to meet others to find new friends. No one at the WMF will stay alone with her or his ideas or questions!

Das WMF 2008 findet im MUSICAL THEATER BASEL statt
Da an Pfingsten 2008 im Congress Center gleichzeitig auch andere Veranstaltungen durchgeführt werden, wird das WMF exklusiv ins MUSICAL THEATER Basel (Feldbergstrasse 151) gelegt (ca. 500 Meter neben dem Congress Center). Diese geräumige und topmoderne Location bietet dem WMF allen erdenklichen Komfort!

Prof. em. Dr. Günter Nimtz, Universität Köln, referiert über "Der Tunneleffekt - Räume ohne Zeit: Die Quantenmechanik durchbricht die Lichtgeschwindigkeitsgrenze".
Prof. Dr. Kathryn Denning (Anthropologin und Archäologin) , York University, Canada, spricht über das Thema "Kultur-Evolution: Auf der Erde und ... auch im Universum?" Beide Themen, Informationsübertragung mit Lichtgeschwindigkeit und die Frage welche kulturelle Formen ausserirdische Zivilisationen annehmen können sind ausserordentlich spannend!
Erich von Däniken, der beim WMF an den Podiumsdiskussionen teilnimmt und für Zündstoff sorgt, wird am Samstagabend, 10. Mai 2008 im MUSICAL THEATER einen öffentlichen Vortrag mit Diskussion zum Thema "Geheimnisse Ägpytens" halten (Vortrag in Deutsch, keine Simultanübersetzung). Für WMF BesucherInnen ist dieser Vortrag GRATIS. Alle anderen können diesen Vortrag (Beginn 20.00 Uhr) zum Spezialpreis von Euro 10,- (CHF 15,-) besuchen. Keine Vorausbuchung: Tickets nur an der Abendkasse!

Die WMF Veranstalter raten, die Tickets für das WMF über die Website www.worldmysteriesforum.ch im voraus zu buchen und so Wartezeiten beim Eingang zu vermeiden! Dies ist aus organisatorischen Gründen jedoch nur noch bis zum 15. April (auf Rechnung) - resp. bis 5. Mai mit Kreditkarte - möglich. Ab dem 5. Mai sind keine online Buchungen mehr möglich und Tickets nur noch am 10. und 11. Mai direkt bei der Veranstaltungskasse im MUSICAL THEATER gegen Barzahlung erhältlich (sowie am Vortag, Freitag, 9. Mai, ab 15 Uhr am WMF Stand im Foyer des Hotels Swissôtel im Congress Center Basel).
Teilnahme ehemaliger WMF Referenten
Als Gäste für das Forum 2008 haben sich auch eine Reihe ehemaliger WMF Referenten angemeldet oder ihr Kommen in Aussicht gestellt. So zum Beispiel Zen-Buddhist Meister Ryofu Pussel, Autor und Journalist Luc Bürgin, Raumfahrt-Experte Dr. Bruno Stanek, und Soziologe und Alien-Kontakt Forscher Dr. Michael Schetsche u.a.m. Für Sie als WMF-TeilnehmerInnen sind aktuelle und ehemalige ReferentInnen leicht durch verschiedene Farben der Badges zu erkennen, die jede teilnehmende Person tragen muss. Damit möchten die Veranstalter es erleichtern, prominente Ansprechpartner zu erkennen, denn Ziel des WMF ist es bekanntlich, den Dialog zwischen Experten und Interessierten zu fördern.
Jugendliche am WMF
Weil am "World Mysteries Forum" recht viele Jugendliche aus aller Welt anwesend sein werden, versuchen die Organisatoren, am Abend des Samstags, 10. Mai 2008, eine spezielle Zusammenkunft NUR für die teilnehmenden Jugendlichen mit einigen der WMF-Referenten zu planen (ohne Presse oder erwachsene Zaungäste). Eine junge Studentin, Alexandra Bär (eMail next.generation@aas-fg.org ) versucht, diesen tollen Abend in den nächsten Monaten zu organisieren. Interessierte Jugendliche: Bitte unbedingt Alexandra vorher eine Mail senden und Euer Interesse bekunden! Im Geiste von "Jugend forscht!" versuchen die Organisatoren, zusätzlich zu den Wissenschaftlern, auch Jugendlichen die Möglichkeit zu geben einen Kurzvortrag zu halten.
Treffpunkt am WMF
Treffpunkt für WMF Besucherinnen und Besucher zum Ideenaustausch und Sich-kennen-lernen! Neu wird während des WMF nicht nur per Pin-Wand auf einen Treffpunkt hingewiesen auf dem Gleichinteressierte Kontakte schliessen können. In Ansagen während der Veranstaltung wird wiederholt dieser sehr wichtige Aspekt des Sich-kennen-lernens unterstützt. An einem gemütlichen Ort (vermutlich einem Teil der Bar des Swissôtels neben dem das WMF stattfindet), trifft man andere zum ungezwungenem Gedankenaustausch. Niemand muss auf dem WMF mit seinen Ideen oder Fragen alleine bleiben

Am 10. und 11. Mai 2008 (Pfingstsamstag und Pfingstsonntag) auf dem "World Mysteries Forum" (WMF) präsentieren und diskutieren elf prominente Forscher und Wissenschaftler zukunftsweisende und brisante Entdeckungen und Theorien.
Verblüffende Rätsel, Fragen und Hypothesen werden durch moderne Forschungsmethoden sowohl von den Wissenschaften als auch von so genannten Querdenkern gerade heute aufgeworfen. Auf dem "World Mysteries Forum" stellen sich Experten dem Publikum. Spektakuläre und revolutionäre Entdeckungen kommen auf den Prüfstein. Frage und Antwort, Kommunikation und Interaktion sind angesagt. Alle Themen werden für den Laien verständlich präsentiert und diskutiert. Alexandra Baer, a Swiss student, made an excellent proposition: Because many young people from all over the world are going to participate at the "World Mysteries Forum"... "Why not organize a special 'Evening for student researchers and young people' (up to about 25 years) interested in mysteries research?", Alexandra asked.
Therefore: Saturday, May 10th, evening, the young people will organize a dinner TOGETHER WITH THE SPEAKERS of the World Mysteries Forum!!! No press, no adults... just the students and young people and the prominent scientists. A great opportunity for direct questions, answers and discussions!
